Callan is a Wisconsin-born multimedia artist based in New York. He was a founding programmer for the queer moving-image collective Seen that programs and supports self-defined and noncomforming work. He has a BFA in Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He currently works as an archivist with the artists Rosaire Appel and Thornton Willis.
