Callan (b. 1999) is a Wisconsin-born multimedia artist based in New York. He was a founding programmer for the queer moving-image collective Seen that programs and supports self-defined, non-conformist, and anti-censored underground works. He has also programmed the Milwaukee Underground Film Festival (MUFF) and holds a BFA in Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. His work has been exhibited in books, film festivals, and galleries across the US and lives in the collections at the MoMA. He has curated photography exhibitions in Brooklyn and currently works in the studios of painter Thorton Willis and photographers Barbara Ciurej + Lindsay Lochman.
